The Ladakh Festival should not be missed. It's a very good opportunity to see mask dances, archery and polo competitions, music recitals, crafts and other things ladakhi. You will meet local people from all over Ladakh in colourful traditional costume, monks in yellow and orange robes, etc. You'll visit also the buddhists monasteries around Leh. You will follow your tour by discovering some very interestings places in Himachal Pradesh and the world famous Taj Mahal at Agra.
The highest point is 5360m (Taglang-La).

Day 01 : Arrive /Delhi -
Late at night welcome at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 02 : Delhi /Leh (3505m 1H by Flight) -
Morning transfer to the domestic airport to board flight for Leh, the capital of Ladakh over the dramatic expanse of

the Himalayas. Transfer to hotel and take rest for acclimatation. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 03-06 : Leh /Festival and Visit the Buddhists monasteries around Leh -
During four days, take part in the Cultural Festival and see featuring archery contests, polo matches and traditionals Ladakhi dances and costumes, etc. |

Visit Leh
the Palace looking for all the world like a miniature version of the Potala in Lhasa, Tibet ; the Tsemo Gompa from which you have a magnific view of the city of Leh ; the tibetan market, etc.
Visit the Buddhists monasteries around Leh
Stok : Visit the Palace, built in 1814. The museum has an unique display of rare ornaments from the royal family, thankas, and traditional clothing and jewellery.
Shey :
Shey is situated on a hillock 15 kms southeast of Leh. Visit the palace gompa built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17th Century Ad. The main image in the monastery is three-stored statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, made of copper guilt. There are a large number of ancient chortens and the five dhyani Buddhas rock carving (circa 8th century).
Tiktse : The monastery is situated 19 kms south of Leh on a hilltop overlooking the village and the Indus. Tiktse Gonpa belong to the Gelukspa order (the yellow hat). There are several temples containing thangkas, stupas, wall paintings and a colossal statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha.

Day 07 : Leh /Dah-Hanu Village (2800m by Jeep)-
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Dah-Hanu Village, famous for its inhabitants, known as Dards or Brokpas. They are the only ones to have preserved their unique form of Buddhism which is mixed with the pre-Buddhist animistic religion, Bon. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 08 : Dah-Hanu Village /Sightseeing full day -

Day 09 : Dah-Hanu Village /Lamayuru (4091m by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive through the lunar landscape to reach Lamayuru. Visit the monastery, one of the most impressive and well maintained in Ladakh. On the return way, visit Rizong gompa. The gompa belongs to the Gelukpa order and is situated in a very calm and hidden place. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 10 : Lamayuru /Likir /Alchi (3060m by jeep) -
Morning, after breakfast, drive to Likir for to visit monastery and museum with interesting royal artefacts, arms and armour on show. Arrive at Alchi. Overnight stay at Hotel/Guest house |

Day 11 : Alchi /Leh (3505m by Jeep) -
Morning, after breakfast, visit Alchi Choskor, "religious enclave" is the most famous and largest of all the Gompa built by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo, the Translator, in 11th century. The main image is that of Vairocana but there can also been seen the Five Buddha Families together with their attendant deities, the beautiful and various forms of the buddhas and bodhisattvas moulded in clay, carved in wood and painted on the walls. Come back to Leh and take part in the Cultural Festival. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 12 : Leh /Hemis /Leh (3505m by Jeep) -
Early morning, after breakfast, drive to Hemis Gompa to witness the morning religious ceremony (puja). It's a very soothing and spiritual experience to be there among these warm and friendly monks. After, visit Hemis Gompa, founded in the 17th century. It is the richest and the largest monastery of the area. Come back to Leh and take part in the Cultural Festival. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 13 : Leh /Sarchu (4252m by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Sarchu. The road is the world's second-highest motorable road, reaching 5360m at Taglang La. After, arrive at Sarchu, the border of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir States. Overnight stay in tent on terraces above the river valley. |

Day 14 : Sarchu /Keylong (3348m by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Keylong. The road goes over the Baralacha La (4880m) at the crossroads of Lahul, Zanskar, Spiti and Ladakh regions. The Bhaga, Chandra and Yunan rivers fall away from its sides in different directions. Reach Keylong, small and peaceful town surrounded by impressive mountains. Visit at Keylong the Khardong monastery and the famous Temple Sikh of Triloknath.Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 15 : Keylong /Manali (2050m by Jeep) -

Day 16 : Manali /Sightseeing full day -
Morning after breakfast, visit the 400 years old wooden Hadimba temple and visit old Manali Village. After visit Vashisht a special kind of religious place where you can find hot springs to relax. PM explore Manali bazaar and the local culture. Experience the local culture through its warm and hospitable people. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 17 : Manali /Chandigarh (353m by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Chandigarh. This city was created by French architect Le Corbusier. The only city in India where there is neither colony nor sky scrapers. Here enjoy the famous Rock Garden which is unique in the world. Visit of Chandigarh Museum.Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 19 : Delhi /Agra (by Car) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Agra. Visit the Taj Mahal, the most elaborate tomb ever erected, in memory of beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631, by Emperor Shah Jahan. Taj Mahal is built of pure white marble and is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Overnight stay at Hotel. |
