Day 03 : Agra /Full day Sightseeing -
Morning after breakfast visit the magnificent Agra Fort - commenced by emperor Akbar in 1565 for defence purposes and later reconstructed as a Fort- Palace by Shah Jahan one of the greatest builders of all times. Visit after the Taj Mahal, the most elaborate tomb ever erected, in memory of beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631, by Emperor Shah Jahan. Taj Mahal is built of pure white marble and is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. After visit the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah, the mausoleum of Mirza Ghiyas Beg the father of Empress Noor Jehan embellishing with pietra dura, marble inlay and lattice work marble screens. Day 07 - 08 : Pushkar Fair -
Pushkar Fair is the camel and cattle Fair which takes place each year at the end of October or 1st week of November when traders and pilgrims flock to Pushkar for livestock trading, caminating with people gathring at dawn to take a dip in the holy waters on the night of the Full moon (kartik Poornima). Day 10 : Chittorgarh /Udaipur (112 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast visit Chittorgarh fort, the capital of Mewar state till 1567, represent the origin of Rajput courage, with Bappa Rawal' a giant who stood 20 cubits (30ft) whose spear no mortal man could loft, The fort, built in the 7th century. On the precipitous edge of a plateau speaks eloquently of the glorious deeds of it past. Majestic Fort is just that. Sprawled across the 125-metre-high hill, this is the most impressive and formidable fort in fort studded Rajasthan. Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rajput clan known as the Rathore, founded Jodhpur in 1459. His descendants ruled not only Jodhpur, but also other Rajput princely states. Day 16 : Jaisalmer /Full day Sightseeing -
Morning after breakfast city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the Fort built in 1156 A.D. by Maharawal Jaisal. The fort crowns the 80-metre high on top of Trikuta Hill. Visit Chandraprabhu Jain Temple dedicated to the eighth tirthankar (Jain Teacher) whose symbol is the moon and Rikhabdev Jain Temple dedicated to Adinath, the first tirthankar whose symbol is the bull. Visit the Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Salim Singh was Diwan (Prime Minister) when Jaisalmer was the capital of a princely state and his mansion has a beautifully arched roof with superb carved brackets in the form of peacocks. Visit the Patva Haveli, built by five Jain brothers in 1800-1860 A.D. Each of the five Havelis has been well decorated with splendid carvings and jharokhas. Afternoon drive to Sam, on the edge of the Desert National Park, for see the sunset. Enroute visit Lodurva, about 15 kms from Jaisalmer, which was the ancient capital before the move to Jaisalmer. Visit the Jain temples, rebuilt in the late 1970s. The ornamented arches at the entrance are magnificent and the Kalp Taru - the Divine-Tree - believed to bestow all that is desired to devotees. Outside the temple, is a drainage hole, from which a snake is said to emerge every evening to drink offerings of milk. Only the lucky can see this. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Day 18 : Khuri /Bikaner (344 kms by Road) :
Early morning return with Camel safari Guesthouse at Khuri. Take baths in Guesthouse. After breakfast leave by surface for Bikaner. Upon arrival check into hotel. Evening visit to the Camel breeding farm. This government-managed camel breeding station is probably unique in Asia. There are hundreds of camels here and it's a great sight at sunset as the camels come back from grazing. The British army had a camel corps drawn from Bikaner. Overnight stay at hotel. |
