The trek from Padam to Lamayuru is an arduous trekking route because of the great number of ups and downs. You will cross a many high passes over 5000 metres and walk at an altitude above 3000 metres.
The highest point is 5060m (Singe La).
The best season is from June to October.

Day 01 : Arrival Delhi -
Late at night welcome at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 02 : Delhi /Leh (3505m 1H by Flight) -
Morning transfer from hotel to domestic airport in time to board flight for Leh, the capital of Ladakh, over the |

dramatic expanse of the Himalayas. Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. Day rest for acclimatation. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Day 03: Leh /Shey and Tiktse Gompas /back Leh (3505m by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Shey, situated on a hillock 15 kms southeast of Leh. Visit the palace gompa built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17th Century Ad. The main image in the monastery is three-stored statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, made of copper guilt. There are a large number of ancient chortens and the five dhyani Buddhas rock |

carving (circa 8th century). After drive 4 kms to Tiktse and visit the monastery situated on a hilltop overlooking the village and the Indus. Tiktse Gonpa belong to the Gelukspa order (the yellow hat). There are several temples containing thangkas, stupas, wall paintings and a colossal statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. Come back to Leh. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 04 : Leh /Kargil (2650m 250 kms by Jeep) -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Kargil. It is the half way point of Srinagar-Leh highway and unusually for Ladakh, the majority of Kargil's 5500 inhabitants, known as Purki, are strict Muslims. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 05 : Kargil /Ringdom (4100m 160 kms by Jeep) -
Morning, after breakfast, drive to Ringdom. Visit the Gompa. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 06 : Ringdom /Padam (3531m 140 kms by Jeep) -
Morning, after breakfast, drive to Padam. Padam is the old capital of Zanskar. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 07 : Padam /Karsha (3610m 3-4 hrs Trek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start for the first day of trekking with packed lunch to reach Karsha. Proceed towards Pipiting then after passing through dusty plain cross Doda river by a bridge, climb and arrive at Karsha. 15th Century Gelumpa Monastery dominates the scene. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 08 : Karsha /Pishu (3665m 5-6 hrs Trek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch to reach Pishu. An easy but hot and dusty walk along the river Zanskar. En route visit Zangla Gampa. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 09 : Pishu /Hanumil (3960m 5 hrs Trek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start the trek for to reach Humumil. Continue, the left bank of Zanskar river and reach Pidmu. After it is approximately 2 hours easy walk since Hanumil. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 11 : Snertse /Hanumala (4700m) /Lingshad (3800m 7 hrs Trek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch for to reach Lingshad. You begin by an ascent through gorges and after an easy climb you reach Hanumala. A steep descent and a climb along mountainside will reach Lingshad. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 12 : Lingshad /Singe La (5060m) /Marling (3825m 5-6 hrsTrek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch for to reach Marling. Today is a long and tired day. You will cross the highest pass of the trek, the Lion's Pass. The climb is through the moraine and the long glacier. The descent is a little difficult. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 13 : Marling /Boumitse La (4200m) /Photaksar (4100m 4-5 hrsTrek) -

Day 14 : Photaksar /Sir Sir La (4000m) /Hanupata (3780m 6 hrs Trek) -
Morning after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch for to reach Hanupata. The ascent for to cross Sir Sir La is long and steep. After, descent to river, cross bridge and pass stony valley. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 15 : Hanupata /Wanla (3645m 6 hrs Trek) -
Morning after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch for to reach Wanla. You go down upto a junction of the rivers, chorten and fluttering flags on a flat land. Wanla is reached after crossing bridge on the left bank of the river. It's a small village with a small monastery. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 16 : Wanla /Prinkiti La (3725m) /Lamayuru (4091m 4-5 hrs Trek) -
Morning, after breakfast, start the trek with packed lunch to reach Lamayuru. It is a walk through narrow gorges and you cross Prinkiti La. Overnight stay in Tent. |

Day 17 : Lamayuru /Alchi /Leh (3505m 130 kms by Jeep) -
Morning, after breakfast, drive to Leh. Enroute visit Alchi Choskor, "religious enclave" is the most famous and largest of all the Gompa built by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo, the Translator, in 11th century. The main image is that of Vairocana but there can also been seen the Five Buddha Families together with their attendant deities, the beautiful and various forms of the buddhas and bodhisattvas moulded in clay, carved in wood and painted on the walls. Come back to Leh. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 18 : Leh /Hemis /Leh (3505m by Jeep) -
Early morning, after breakfast, drive to Hemis Gompa to witness the morning religious ceremony (puja). It's a very soothing and spiritual experience to be there among these warm and friendly monks. After, visit Hemis Gompa, founded in the 17th century. It is the richest and the largest monastery of the area. Come back to Leh. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 19 : Leh /Delhi /Agra (1H by Flight and 200 kms by Road) -
Early morning transfer to the Leh airport to board flight for Delhi. Transfer to hotel. After drive to Agra. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 20 :Agra /Delhi (by Road) -
Morning after breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal, the most elaborate tomb ever erected, in memory of beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631, by Emperor Shah Jahan. Taj Mahal is built of pure white marble and is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. After, drive to Delhi. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Day 21 : Delhi /Full day sightseeing and Departure by( Car) -
Morning after breakfast, full day sightseeing and shopping in Delhi. Evening transfer to international airport in time to board flight for onward destination. |
