The serene Himalayas in Uttaranchal are home to the Gods. Known popularly as "Devbhumi" (abode of the Gods), the hill state is well known for its sacred destinations, especially the four "dhams", namely Yamunotri - sacred jewel of the Himalayas, Gangotri - the eternal gift of Bhagirath's penance, Kedarnath - the celestial Jyotirlingam and Badrinath - the abode of Lord Vishnu.  

 
       
 
Day 01 : Arrival Delhi -
Welcome at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon City tour. Old and New Delhi : Visit the Red Fort in red sandstone built by Emperor Shahjahan ; the Jama Masjid, one of thelargest mosques in
 
 
India ; the Raj Ghat, the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi ; the Rastrapathi Bhawan, the Official residence of the Indian President and the India Gate, the war memorial which commemorates 90,000 Indian soldiers killed fighting for the British in World War. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi /Haridwar (292m 202 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar in 6 hrs. Arrival and check in hotel. Afternoon visit the amazing Ghat where Hindus pour ashes of their
 
 
dead. Evening for Arti Ceremony witness at Har Ki Pairi. Ganga simmering with burning lamps and echoing prayers. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
 
Day 03 : Haridwar /Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti (2650m 195 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti thus entering the Himalaya. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
 
Day 04 : Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti /Yamunotri (3185m) /back Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti (2650m) (20 kms by Road and 10 kms Trek) -
Morning after breakfast drive 10 kms to Yamunotri. After trek 5 kms to Yamunotri. Yamunotri is near the source of the Yamuna River, the second-most sacred river in India after the Ganges. According to legend, this secluded hilly spot was the home of the ancient saint Agustmuni. There are the hot water springs nearby. Devotees prepare rice and potatoes in the hot water springs, to offer at the shrine. The trek to Yamunotri is spectacular, the entire route being dominated by a panorama of rugged peaks and dense forests. After back to Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
 
Day 05 : Hanuman Chatti/Janki Chatti /Uttarkashi (1158m 190 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi, Uttarkashi altitude the last civilized township Evening visit bazaar and the Arti performance at the 400 years old lords Shiva temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
 
Day 06 : Uttarkashi /Gangotri (3048m) /and back Uttarkashi (200 kms by Road) -
Early Morning after breakfast drive 5 hrs to Gangotri. Visit the 18th century granite temple, dedicated to the Goddess Ganga, where she is believed to have descended to earth. It is situated on the right bank of the
 
 
Bhagirathi River. Hindus believe that Ganga (here Bhagirathi) came down from heaven after King Bhagirath's centuries-long penance. He wanted to ensure his dead relatives' ascent to heaven by having their ashes washed by the sacred waters of the Ganga. When the tempestuous river arrived on earth, the force of her flow had to be checked by Siva who received her in the coils of his hair, lest she sweep all away. Later, exploration walk in this mini exotic township. After lunch drive back Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07 : Uttarkashi /Gaurikund (1981m 235 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund. On the way visit at Agstmuni (914m) the Agasteshwar Temple. After Continue drive to Gaurikund. Upon the arrival check into hotel .PM Visit of the ancient sulphur-springs tank it is here the God Ganesha got his elephant head. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
 
Day 08 : Gaurikund /Kedarnath (3584m 14 kms Trek) -
Morning after breakfast trek up towards Kedarnath 5 hrs along with the caravan of Hindu pilgrims. Amidst the dramatic mountainscapes of the majestic Kedarnath range, on the head of river Mandakini, the shrine of Kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the Hindus. The origin of the revered temple can be found in the epic Mahabharata. According to legend, the Pandavas sought the blessings of Lord Shiva to atone their sins after the battle of Mahabharata. Lord Shiva eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. One being followed, he dived into the ground, leaving behind his hump on the surface. The lingam here is pyramidal in shape and considered as one of the twelve jyortirlingam (lingam of light). Overnight stay at hotel/ Tourist Banglow.
 
   
 
 
Day 09 : Kedarnath /Gaurikund /Okhimath /Chopta (2700m 14 kms Trek and 60 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast trek downhill to Gaurikund 4 hrs. After lunch drive to Okhimath /Chopta. Overnight stay at hotel /Tourist Banglow.
 
       
 
Day 10 : Okhimath /Chopta /Badrinath (3100m 160 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Take lunch at Joshimath and continue after to Badrinath, abode of Lord Vishnu. Surrounded by the Nilkanth, Nar and Narayan ranges, along the left bank of river
 
 
Alaknanda, Badrinath is among the most sacred of India's holy cities. Legend has it, when the Ganga was requested to descend to earth to help alleviate the suffering of humanity, the earth was unable to withstand the force of its descent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into twelve holy channels. Alaknanda was one of them that later became the abode of Lord Vishnu or Badrinath. Watch the beautiful evening prayer in temple. Overnight stay at tourist bungalow /hotel.

  Day 11 : Badrinath /Mana Village /Joshimath (48 kms by Road) -  
 
Morning after breakfast by road 3 kms to Mana Village, Full day sightseeing of Mana Village where you can see Vyash Gufa (cave), where Maharshi Vyash wrote Mahabharat (Holy book of Hindu). This village is famous for woollen handicraft like blanket, carpet, shawl, sweater, etc. After reach Joshimath by crossing Vishnuprayag, one of the five holy confluences of the various tributaries of Ganga. The five auspicious confluences, named "Panch Prayag", are Deoprayag, Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag where the Alaknanda, which rises near Badrinath, meets the Dhauli Ganga river 10 kms north of Joshimath. Overnight stay at tourist bungalow/hotel.
 
       
 
Day 12 : Joshimath /Rishikesh (348m 253 kms by Road) -
Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh in 10 hrs. On the way cross four prayags. Deoprayag is the most sacred of all the prayags because it's the very first one at the confluence of Bhagirathi (originating at Gaumukh) and Alaknanda (originating from snowy peaks above Badrinath). The two become the Ganges. Check in hotel upon arrival. Evening for Arti Ceremony at tribune Ghat Ganga. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
       
  Day 13 : Rishikesh (348m) /full day sightseeing -

  Day 14 : Rishikesh /Delhi (225 kms by Road) -
