Kuari (4268m), reached by a narrow pass, offers glorious view of the stately eastern peaks of the Garhwal Himalaya, full of charm and grandeur, wearing their white, glossy caps.The peaks visible from Kuari Pass are Nanda Devi (7873m), Kamet (7756m), Mana (7273m), Trisul (7120m), Dunagiri (7006m), Bethartoli (6352m), etc. Weather permitting; the Nanda Devi Sanctuary is also visible. Lord Curzon, a keen Himalayan hiker, had trekked unto Kuari Pass and so, the road is known as Curzon Road. After 1947 (Independence year) it was officially renamed the "Nehru Trail".
Pangarchula Peak (5200m) can be easily scaled with only normal trekking gear and from its summit, Badrinath and other snow -covered peaks can be seen.

During the journey you will discover the Valley of Flowers, with its multitude of rare and beautiful plants and flowers and also some very famous pilgrimages sites: Haridwar, one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism, Hemkund, one of the most important and sacred places of the Sikhs; Badrinath, dedicated to the Trinity in Hindu mythology and Rishikesh, on the banks of the river sacred Mother Ganga.
The trek starts from Ghat and the 13 days of trek are easy. The highest point is 5200m (Pangarchula Peak).
The best season is from the end of April to June and from the middle of August end of November.

Day 01 : Arrival Delhi -
Late at night welcome at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Day 02 : Delhi/Haridwar (292m 202 kms by Road) -
Early morning 6 hrs drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Day 03 : Haridwar (292) /Full day sightseeing -
Morning after breakfast, by cable car hill visit to Mansa Devi Temple for a fascinating view of Ganges and this festive religious town. Later to visit to main Ghat Har Ki Pairi (the footstep of God), is supposed to be at the precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. Consequently the river's power to wash away sins at this spot is superlative and the seat of sanctity is a footprint Lord Vishnu left in a stone here. Each evening at sunset priests perform the Ganga Arti, or river worship, ceremony here, when lights which are set on the water drift downstream and the priests engage in their elaborate rituals. Day 04 : Haridwar /Ghat (1331m 239 kms by Road) -

Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag. Deoprayag is the most sacred of all the prayags because it's the very first one at the confluence of Bhagirathi (originating at Gaumukh) and Alaknanda (originating from snowy peaks above Badrinath). The two become the Ganges. Then after drive to Ghat, through Garhwali, landscape dotted with ethnic settlements following the river. Evening explore the mini township. Overnight stay in tent. |

Day 05 : Ghat /Ramni (1982m) 1st day of Trek (10 kms Trek) -

Day 06 : Ramni /Jhenjipani (1524m 13 kms Trek) -
An ascend of about 3 hrs and a gradual descend of 2 hrs through a quiet forest and a local settlement en route. The locals here are a unique race of Brahmins, as they have never ventured beyond the mountains ever into the towns. Overnight stay in tent. |

Day 07 : Jhenjipani /Pana (2043m 12 kms Trek) -
A 4 hrs trek ascending steeply for about 3 hrs followed by descend into the village of Pana. The route follows the valley and this village of Pana contains the Garhwali Gangotri community known for their expertise in sheep wool weaving activities. They only ever use homespun clothes. Evening for rendezvous with the locals. Overnight stay in tent. |

Day 08 : Pana /Dhakwani (2296m 10 kms Trek) -
Trek 6 hrs gradually ascending through thick forests containing a rich variety of flora and fauna. Numerous herbs are found in this area and the locals are known to pick them for local use. Nomads grazing their sheep's en route is indeed interesting encounter as they lead a totally contrasting life-style. Overnight stay in tent. |

Day 09 : Dhakwani /Kuari Pass (4268m) /Pangarchula Base Camp (10 kms Trek) -
Gradual ascend 5 hrs passing through silent forest and emerging into a meadow presenting the first dramatic views of Nanda Devi and Pangarchula peaks. The panorama is beyond imagination and the meadow presents an ethnic arena of the locals and nomads punctuating the meadow with their sheds while grazing their sheep and cattle. trek begins by crossing the suspension bridge over Alaknanda river. The path continues in zigzag with the constant companion Lakshman Ganga gurgling past dense vegetation and forest. One can have panoramic views of Kak Bhusandi Valley. Ghangriya, nestled amidst the giant deodars, is the base for both Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib (4150m) which is the holiest place for the Sikhs. Overnight stay in tent. |

Day 14 : Ghangriya /Valley of Flowers (3658-3962m) /Ghangriya (3048m) (10 kms Trek) -
Morning after breakfast start trekking to the Valley of Flowers, known as the "garden on top of the world", where nature has endowed its bounties aplenty. The path climbs up steadily. Aagainst the dazzling snow covered peaks; the Valley is an enchanting sight with an incredible variety of wild flowers. Notable among them are Himalayan blue poppy, brahma kamal, rennanclus, jareneyum, potentila, dumex etc. About 9 kms long and 2 kms wide, the Valley is divided by Bhuinder Ganga emerging from the slopes of Rataban and Nilgiri Parbat. Return to Ghangriya for overnight stay in tent. |

Day 15 : Ghangriya /Hemkund Sahib (4150m) /Ghangriya (3048m) (12 kms Trek) -
Morning after breakfast start trekking 6 kms to Hemkund Sahib. The winding path climbs up to a high altitude Himalayan fresh water lake with a profusion of flowers. Legend has it that this lake was made by Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana by shooting an arrow to quench the thirst of Sita, wife of Lord Rama. According to the Guru Granth Sahib - the holy book of the Sikhs - Guru Govind Singh - the founder of the Sikh Religion - in one of his previous births, meditated here. The lake is surrounded by seven snow covered peaks. The stream flows out and joins the river Alaknanda near Govindghat. There is a temple dedicated to Lakshmana - the brother of Rama of Ramayana fame - and a gurudwara (place of worship for Sikhs). Return to Ghangriya for overnight stay in tent. |

Day 16 : Ghangriya /Govindghat (1828m) /Badrinath (3096m) (14 kms Trek/28 kms Road) -
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Govindghat. Upon arrival drive to Badrinath, abode of Lord Vishnu. Afternoon visit the Badrinarayan temple which is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. Watch the beautiful evening prayer in the temple. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Day 18 : Badrinath /Rishikesh (340m) (300 kms by Road) -

Day 19 : Rishikesh (340m) Full day sightseeing -
Early morning after breakfast visit Rishikesh, situated at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. Visit Temples and Ashram. Evening go to the Triveni Ghat to see the Ganga Puja, when lighted lamps are set afloat on the river, which is a delightful sight. Overnight stay at hotel. |
